Processing of your personal data — purposes and legal bases
Newsletter
If you have subscribed to the newsletter on our website, we use your email address to send you the newsletter regularly and to provide you with interesting facts about our company. The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent (Article 6(1) sentence 1 a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. To do so, you can click on "Unsubscribe" or "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the newsletter email. Or you can write to us at tim.kuesters@birdsview.com or by post.
Data processing within the company
We process personal data on the basis of the data protection provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as, where applicable, the state data protection laws of the individual federal states. The data of the following groups of persons is processed by the respective persons responsible in the company to fulfill tasks. In detail, this means:
- The processing of customer data for the execution and support of the contractual relationship or pre-contractual relationship as well as contact inquiries and communication is based on Art. 6(1) sentence 1 letter b) GDPR and Art. 6(1) sentence 1 letter c) GDPR.
- Employee data are stored for the establishment, execution and termination of employment relationships (Art. 88 GDPR, Section 26 BDSG).
- Applicant data are stored for the conduct of the application process and the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship (Art. 88 GDPR, Section 26 BDSG). Documents from unsuccessful applicants are deleted four months after the end of the application process.
Retention period
The personal data we store will be deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions. We delete the data as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of processing, consent has been withdrawn, or other permissions no longer apply.
Data that must still be stored, for example for commercial or tax law reasons, or whose storage is still necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims, will be deleted as soon as this is no longer the case. The email address you provided for sending the newsletter will be deleted as soon as you withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter, provided that this email address is not also used for communication between the company and you, except for sending the newsletter.
Rights of data subjects
If we process your personal data, you as the data subject have the following rights:
- a right of access to the data processed and to a copy,
- a right to rectification if we process incorrect data about you,
- a right to erasure, unless exceptions apply as to why we must still store the data, for example
Retention obligations or limitation periods
- a right to restriction of processing,
- the right to withdraw consent to data processing at any time,
- the right to object to processing on grounds of public or legitimate interest,
- a right to data portability,
- the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that we are not processing your data properly. If you are in another federal state or outside Germany, you can also contact the local data protection authority.
